Cheap eSIM for Morocco: how much should you spend?

Updated on 24 August 2026

In short

Zas's cheapest eSIM for Morocco costs €8.99 and includes 3 GB for 30 days. It is a sensible buy for maps, messages and bookings with frequent Wi-Fi. If you will use social media every day, I recommend 10 GB at €20.99 so the data lasts until the return journey.

On a five-day Marrakech stay, offline maps and Wi-Fi video protect the small bundle. A Marrakech–Fes circuit with daily posts and connection sharing can exhaust the same choice before the final hotel.

Saving in Morocco means protecting data for the street

The entry package works when accommodation Wi-Fi handles uploads and mobile data is kept for finding a riad, arranging a transfer and opening reservations. The common false economy is uploading video in the room and running out before the return journey.

Download the medina map and pause photo backup first. If the itinerary includes several road days or a shared laptop, compare the medium bundle by total usable cost rather than choosing the lowest checkout price automatically.

The €8.99 plan is cheapest only if it lasts. When choosing between 3 and 10 GB, the €20.99 option is usually calmer for a trip with daily social media. In Morocco, keep data for the medina and the return transfer.

Before flying: prepare these details

  • Download maps, tickets and entertainment before departure.
  • Pause cloud backups and automatic app updates on mobile data.
  • Reserve part of the allowance for the return transfer and last booking changes.
  • Download the Atlas or desert section before leaving the city.

Before entering the Atlas or continuing towards the desert, download the route, booking and guide's phone number. More data cannot help on a stretch with no signal. That leaves the smaller bundle for messages, changes and the journey home.

How can 3 GB last a week in Morocco?

Use downloaded maps, stop cloud backups and leave video for Wi-Fi. Keep a reserve for accommodation and driver messages.

Is a SIM sold in the medina always cheaper?

No reliable comparison is possible without its current price, allowance, registration and validity. Compare the complete offer.

Can 3 GB last for 7 days?

Yes, with downloaded maps, messaging and Wi-Fi for video and photo uploads. Choose 10 GB if you post every day.

Is the price a monthly subscription?

No. You buy a prepaid allowance with a maximum validity; it does not renew because some days remain.

Is a local SIM always cheaper?

Not necessarily. Compare the final price, allowance, validity and any registration required at purchase.
