Which eSIM to take to Morocco

For most trips to Morocco, choose 10 GB at €20.99 for maps, messages, social media and a few calls. Take 3 GB at €8.99 with regular Wi-Fi, or 20 GB at €36.99 for video, work or connection sharing. The listed networks are Orange Morocco, depending on the plan.
A couple spending four nights in Marrakech can reserve mobile data for the street. The same travellers crossing the Atlas while sharing data with a laptop have a different pattern of use even if the trip is only three days longer.
A city break and an Atlas route call for different choices
Three gigabytes can cover directions, messages and bookings when evenings include reliable riad Wi-Fi. Adding Fes, the Atlas and nights away from cities changes the margin required, mainly because of photo backups, calls and connection sharing.
Kilometres do not consume data on their own. A larger allowance lowers the risk of running out; it does not create Orange Morocco service on a mountain pass. Choose the allowance and prepare offline information as two separate decisions.

My recommendation: start with 10 GB. Drop to 3 GB when photos and video can wait for Wi-Fi; move to 20 GB when work or a laptop depends on the connection. In Morocco, keep data for the medina and the return transfer.
Before flying: prepare these details
- Count the periods without dependable Wi-Fi, not only the total days.
- Separate video calls, uploads and connection sharing from maps and messaging.
- Before paying, check that the phone supports eSIM and is not locked to one carrier.
- Save the accommodation address in Arabic or French as well as its pin.
Before entering the Atlas or continuing towards the desert, download the route, booking and guide's phone number. More data cannot help on a stretch with no signal. Choose the allowance for your usage; the saved map and bookings matter just as much.
Should I buy more data for the Atlas?
Buy more if calls, video or connection sharing require it. The larger bundle does not improve reception on remote mountain sections.
Will the eSIM switch to Maroc Telecom when Orange drops?
No. The current plan lists Orange Morocco; other carriers are separate local purchases.
Which plan suits a normal trip to Morocco?
Ten GB at €20.99 is a comfortable middle ground. With daily Wi-Fi and little video, 3 GB at €8.99 may be enough.
Does the eSIM include calls and SMS?
No. It is a data-only eSIM. You can keep your usual SIM for messages, but check possible roaming charges first.
Can I share the connection with another device?
Yes. Every connected device uses the same allowance, so keep an eye on data when a laptop is connected.
