Before you leave
Buy and install the eSIM on Wi‑Fi, at home. Installing needs a connection; activating doesn't.
When you land
Switch on the eSIM, set it as your data line and turn off data roaming on your physical SIM. Your usual number stays there for calls and SMS.
When the days start counting
From the first time the eSIM connects to a network at your destination. Not from when you buy it.
