Vodafone roaming in the United States: what it costs
Vodafone has a specific pass for the United States at 3 € a day with 3 GB a day, which also covers Alaska and Hawaii and renews itself. It's one of the best roaming rates on the Spanish market and quite a bit better than Movistar's there, which is 6,05 € a day for 500 MB. Fourteen days with Vodafone come to 42 €; a local eSIM for the same trip, 5,90 €.

Credit where it's due: three euros a day for three gigabytes is an honest rate, the kind that doesn't make you want to write an outraged article. So the question isn't whether you're being robbed, but whether you need three gigabytes a day.
The number, and the neighbour's
| Operator | Rate in the United States | Price | Data per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vodafone | Bono Diario Viaje EEUU | 3 € a day | 3 GB |
| Movistar | Daily rate for the United States | 6,05 € a day | 500 MB |
| Orange | Bono Semanal Destinos Plus — price not published | — | 25 GB in 7 days |
Orange appears without a figure because on 22 August 2026 it wasn't publishing the price of its passes on any page that would open: its help site describes the Tarifa Diaria Roaming Plus (3 GB a day) and the Bono Semanal Destinos Plus (25 GB in 7 days) without saying what they cost, and its shop returns an error. If you're on Orange, check it in Mi Orange before you fly.
The Vodafone pass also includes calls to the United States and to Spain, which the eSIM doesn't give you because it's data only. If you're going to call American numbers from your line, that counts.
What the whole trip comes to
| Duration | Vodafone pass | Zas eSIM |

| 7 days | 21 € · 3 GB a day | 2,90 € · 1 GB |
| 14 days | 42 € · 3 GB a day | 5,90 € · 3 GB |
| 30 days | 90 € · 3 GB a day | 6,90 € · 5 GB |
Ninety gigabytes in a month against five. If you're someone who uses that much, the pass is your rate and this page has served to confirm it. If you're someone who uses three gigabytes in two weeks, you're paying 42 € for data that costs 5,90 €.
